From Ruin
“Our aim is to create a community of music lovers who challenge the shame and loneliness often felt by those who have endured trauma by centring our own traumatic stories at the core of our songs. We want the listeners to fell less alone, we want them to feel seen, we want to lift the taboos that still linger around some traumatic experiences. And most of all we want to serve as a promise that things can get better. We are living proof of that. ‘From Ruin’ means we might feel destroyed but we can rise from it. The band’s logo is a diamond, diamonds are created under great pressure, turned into something strong and beautiful. Our songs can be gloomy and challenging thematically but the message is one of hope. ”

The Band
Lead by Lexa wilding with Euan Geddes on drums, Fin Fraser on guitar and Ciaran McAvoy on bass, the band writes, composes and creates together. Despite coming from very different backgrounds and having very different lived experiences, the music and the creativity they found when working together transcended any differences they may have had. All four bring their own experiences to the table, as musicians but also as humans with deep, complicated stories and this is reflected in the music. The lyrics are raw and honest, the music is authentic and capture the energy of the complex subject matters the songs explore.
Working along side production, recording and mixing professionals such as Jim Pinder and Steve Bull the band have crafted a recognisably grunge, heavy sound that is still unique and fresh with authenticity and the music at the centre of every decision made.
